Securitize opens new offices in NYC and London — Expands to service Asia

Since the launch of Securitizewe have seen huge demand from companies all over the world. After many months of hard work and many thousands of miles flown by both Carlos and I (along with early morning and late evening phone calls), we are proud to announce that we have expanded our teams to cover Asia, Europe and the East Coast of the USA.

As a part of this expansion, we have opened offices in New York City (Midtown) and London (City) and staffed them with some of the best people in the world.

Without further ado, we are proud to announce the newest senior members of the Securitize team:

New Hires:

Jacqueline Kwok joins us as Director of Business Development for Asia:

Jacqueline (‘JK’) spent the bulk of her career in private equity with a focus on fundraising and growth equity investments within TMT, manufacturing, and consumer industries in China. JK managed international market expansion for a Rocket Internet-backed startup, which took her from Berlin to Chicago. After investing in crypto assets during her tenure in VMWare’s Networking and Security team, she has focused all her efforts within the blockchain/crypto space working for a custody startup. She has an MBA from INSEAD, and started her career at the KPMG Hong Kong Office.

Brian Farber joins us as General Counsel:

Before joining us, Brian was in-house legal counsel at ConsenSys. Prior to ConsenSys, Brian was an associate in the corporate finance group at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York. Brian holds degrees from Fordham University School of Law and New York University.

Evan Malanga joins us as Director of Business Development — East Coast:

Previously, Evan was a Director at ConsenSys and founding team member of ConsenSys Digital Securities (CDS). While at ConsenSys, Evan was actively involved in the acquisition of a broker-dealer, investment into North Capital Private Securities, and led CDS’ first private placement transaction. Prior to Consensys, Evan was a consultant at Gotham Partners, specializing in private equity advisory and due diligence. Evan has also held roles at Evercore Partners in mergers and acquisitions and in early-stage venture capital at Tekfen Ventures and Kiwi Venture Partners. Evan earned a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School. Prior to his MBA, Evan served for five years as a Captain in the U.S. Army.

Breige Tinnelly joins us as our first Head of Europe:

Breige is a Senior Commercial Executive with over 18 years in the debt capital markets and financial services industry with global coverage in Legal, Financial Technology and Regulatory Technology sectors. Breige has worked across global corporates and ambitious startups as founder and director. Most recently she was Head of Sales and UK regional Business Manager for AQMetrics, and has held senior roles as SVP EMEA Head of Business Development, Sales, Marketing & Strategy for US Bank and BNY Mellon. Breige is also a Solicitor of England and Wales, with an LL.M. in International and Commercial Law starting her early career with Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton.

The Securitize team keeps growing and we thank our customers, partners, and investors for their support over the past year.
